Lullabies (Premiere)
ABOUT
Hi,
my name is Mattia,
but everyone just calls me Tia.
I am a musician and a music therapist alumnus.
I consider myself as a guy in between.
I was born and raised on the banks of the Adda river, breeded in the still green province of Milan, Italy. It is just a stone's throw away from the beautiful lake of Como, where poppies still grow along the ditches and in spring the streets smell of Elder and Wisteria.
What director Luca Guadagnino once called "Somewhere in Northern Italy".

Often these places have been my visual, auditory and olfactory soundtrack of both the best and the toughest times in my life.
I have always felt something for the wilderness, like a sense of mystery and beauty.
I’ve listened to its fragments and I've incorporated them into my songs since I was a kiddo.
In my youth, I've found inspiration among the covers of recordings produced by Arts&Crafts, ATO, Asthmatic Kitty Records, Full Time Hobby, Saddle Creek Records, Secretly Canadian, Sub Pop, Wichita to name a few ... since then I have always been fascinated by the emotions contained in those records.
So then, in solo and with brothers and sisters of the band (The Please),
I have played a bit in my country and in Europe, and sometimes, it has been a real privilege to open-acting for someone among the artists I love.

I've recently recorded (or reboothed) a few pieces of mine.
First time for me, it is the sound of the piano that docilely dominates the scene.
- Indeed it is more like it has taken care of it. -

The sounds thus took on a dimension of intimate sharing, which was taken care of
from the beginning as something peculiar.

The songs represent a broad timeframe.
Some of these were composed by a very young me back 15 years ago,
while others are still wet.
Anyway the tracks all breathe in unison, have a calming, meditative and slightly hypnotic taste to me: three elements that have always been associated with lullabies since the dawn of time.

And here we are, these songs are a small offer, a contribution that comes from within, to avoid being hard as rocks, because life is in the opening as the water you can hear in the murmurs among the songs.

If you want to talk, contact or book me, you're already in the right place!
But to make things even simpler and more familiar,
I'd also like to leave you this old fashioned email address:

Take care!
I hope you out there will like it.
Humble and with great affection,
Tia Airoldi
